The HKSSC is a coalition of industry members aiming to advance the sustainable seafood market in Hong Kong through good sourcing practices.
Over the past 10 months, the coalition has been working to develop two documents: The Guidance Document and the Codes of Conduct. The Codes of Conduct provide valuable criteria that seafood buyers can use to ensure responsible sourcing, as well as the minimum criteria that must be met before claims of responsibility can be made. The Guidance Document gives best practice advice.
From Tuesday 13 November 2018 - Tuesday 11 December 2018, these documents will be released to the public for a four week consultation period.
